The Table Mountain Casino in Friant is closing its doors at 6 p.m. Monday and The Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville will close at 4 a.m. Wednesday in response to coronavirus concerns, the casinos announced.

The Table Mountain Rancheria Tribal Council and the casino’s board of directors met and reached the decision Sunday, according to a news release.

The Tule River Tribal Council and the Tule River Public Health Authority met Monday and reached its decision on Monday, according to a news release.

Table Mountain will be closed through at least March 31. Eagle Mountain will be closed at least through April 3.

'Table Mountain Casino remains unified in the protection of our guests, casino team members and their families, our tribal community, as well as the many vendors we utilize in our operations,' the tribe said in a statement. 'Our tribe will honor all employees’ base pay rates and their benefits during this temporary closure.'

While no guest or employee, to the tribe's knowledge, has been exposed to coronavirus, a 'full property sanitization multiple times throughout the closure' will be conducted.

Eagle Mountain Casino will continue to pay its team members base salary and health benefits during the temporary closure, it said in a press release.

Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold will remain open according to its website. In a letter to customers, the casino put these health and safety protocols in place:

• Training for team members, with ongoing daily reinforcement
• System for frequent cleaning and disinfection of all areas
• Easy access to handwashing facilities and increased hand sanitizing stations
• Hourly sanitation procedures for restrooms, dining venues and kitchens, counters, bar tops and all other facilities
• Increased sanitation signage for guests and team members of proper handwashing technique and respiratory cough and sneeze etiquette
• Frequent cleaning and sanitation of gaming tables, slot machines, doors, handrails and elevators.

Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore will also remain open, according to a letter to customers posted on its website

'The safety and well being of our guests, as well as our employees, is of the utmost importance,' the casino said in a letter to customers. 'We have implemented a number of new protocols for our employees, and have added additional measures, including freem hand sanitizer available for our guests.

In Las Vegas, major resorts are now closing in response to the spread of coronavirus.

Wynn Resorts will close its two luxury hotel-casinos on the Strip for two weeks starting Tuesday. MGM will cease casino operations on Monday and will completely close its properties on Tuesday.

Another Valley casino is ready to welcome back guests, but Table Mountain isn't playing any games when it comes to safety.

The casino near Millerton Lake starts its 'first phase' of reopening on Monday, operating at 25% capacity.

Everyone will be required to wear masks and smoking will not be allowed inside.

The slots will be lighting up once again next week at Table Mountain Casino.

'It's incredible how much time and effort has been put into our phased reopening plan. We've learned from some of the industry best, but we've actually taken it a step further,' says CEO John Dinius.

Digital displays and social distancing markers constantly remind customers to be safe. Not every slot machine will be in play right away.

'The way we set it up, we still have the same selection of games- just in smaller numbers,' says director of slots Mike O'Brien.

For now, the casino will be opened from 10 in the morning until 2 in the morning. It will close temporarily overnight so maintenance crews can do a deep clean.

'We'll... use an EPA and CDC approved chemical to go through and disinfect it. It's an electro static sprayer that our team will go through and disinfect the entire floor,' says director of facilities Michael Maldonado.

Unless you hit a jackpot, guests are encouraged to redeem winnings through video redemption machines. It eliminates hand to hand exchanges with a cashier.

The new safety guidelines have also changed the way customers enter the casino. Parking lot greeters will welcome guests and provide further direction.

'Our process is going to be very efficient to try to get these guests inside the casino as quickly and as so we will use the cue line and boarding system to get them into the casino while following our protocols,' says director of security Mohammad Rafaqat.

Depending on how full the casino is, customers could be asked to wait in their cars.
